Bill Askins started his understanding of employee benefits in the 80s while working in Human Resources for Honeywell. Since 1993 Bill has been creating long lasting relationships in the health and life insurance field with his clients. As a Sales Manager and Sales Trainer, Bills experience gives his clients and a personal and professional understanding of health and life insurance. Bill's key to success is making the complex simple.

Prior to joining Nichols Insurance, Bill was the Sales Manager for Sonnenberg Insurance, a contracting general agency for Blue Cross Blue Shield of FL. Prior to Sonnenberg, Bill was with another BCBS agency for nine years in which he was a product trainer as well as a Benefit Consultant.

Bill has a BA degree from the University of South Florida in Personnel Management and attended the MBA program at the Florida Institute of Technology and Cornell University.

Bill is an Ambassador for the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce and has been a statewide speaker on Medicare Planning and is certified in Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Plans.

Bill has lived in Clearwater since 1984 and in Florida since 1976. He is married to Laura and they have five children. Bill is active in the Cub Scouts as a leader, active in his church and active with a variety of community events. He enjoys antique collecting, cooking, old movies, writing and furniture restoring.
